VISUAL STORYTELLING WORKSHOP | WITH ANJA HITZENBERGER
VISUAL STORYTELLING WORKSHOP | WITH ANJA HITZENBERGER
© Anja Hitzenberger
In this two-day photography workshop, we will deepen our photographic vision and learn how powerful visual stories can emerge through conscious image composition. Under the guidance of photographer Anja Hitzenberger, we will explore key creative tools in photography through practical exercises: how can lines, colors, light, shadow, and blur be used intentionally in choosing a subject in order to give images more dynamism and expressive power?
Following theoretical impulses drawn from historical and contemporary photography, participants will photograph together on both days. The group will immerse itself in the lively atmosphere around Yppenplatz and explore the cultural diversity of the Brunnenmarkt and its surroundings. Based on these impressions, photographic exercises in the urban environment, as well as group image reviews, will invite participants to connect theory and practice.
The workshop is aimed at beginners and advanced photographers who want to sharpen their visual understanding of photographic composition beyond technical camera instruction and develop a more attentive awareness of their surroundings. The use of a digital camera is recommended so that the photographs can be reviewed and discussed during the workshop.
